Fort Lauderdale Beachfront

Lined by a wave wall and promenade, Fort Lauderdale’s coastline boasts six different beaches along with an abundance of shops, restaurants, and nightlife options. Check out family-friendly Deerfield Beach, or trendy Fort Lauderdale Beach. Adventure-lovers will want to visit Hallandale Beach, where you can book boat and fishing charters. Las Olas Boulevard

Las Olas Boulevard is home to some 65 stores, 10 international art galleries, two museums, and more than 30 restaurants, which are considered some of the best in the area. Shoppers and window shoppers alike enjoy visiting this Fort Lauderdale attraction, which you can also enjoy by bike tour. The eastern side of the boulevard is lined with canals, making it a picturesque place to stroll.

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, frequently described as the “Venice of America” by locals and visitors, consists of a park, shops, restaurants, nightlife, and a movie theater. It is a popular destination for strolling, eating, and catching some outdoor entertainment. The complex also includes big attractions such as Stranahan House, the Broward Center for Performing Arts, the Museum of Discovery and Science, the Florida Grand Opera, and Esplanade Park. Explore the Riverwalk by walking tour, Segway tour, or sight-seeing cruises.

PROJECTROCK

Enjoy climbing and fitness? Come check out projectROCK. This indoor climbing facility combines both traditional indoor sport-climbing with the best of the outdoors. If you’re new to climbing, they have classes for beginners. Those with more experience will enjoy challenging sections for intermediate or advanced climbers. This gym is a great way to get some exercise and have fun with friends. This is a great rainy-day activity or when you are ready for a break from fun in the sun. Prices vary depending on activity.

Xtreme Action Park Fort Lauderdale

XTREME ACTION PARK

A place for the entire family to enjoy, this 200,000 square foot venue is the largest indoor entertainment venue in Florida. Xtreme Action Park is a massive Fort Lauderdale compound featuring different activities such as go-kart racing, bowling lanes, arcade, a ropes adventure course, a trampoline park, roller skating, escape rooms, laser tag, virtual reality games, and more. For the adults 21 and over, they have a full liquor sports bar with kitchen. This is a great place for an evening out with family, friends, or even a date night. NSU Art Museum

NSU ART MUSEUM

With over 7,500 different works of art, the NSU Art Museum shows a variety of both permanent and rotating exhibits. These exhibits contain works from the 19th through the 21st century. If you’re an art lover, there is plenty to see and explore within the museum. They offer free admission and extended hours the first Thursday of every month, 11 am – 7 pm. The museum is also open on Sundays, 12pm – 5pm and Tuesday through Saturday, 11am – 5pm. Adult general admission $12 per person.

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park

HUGH TAYLOR BIRCH STATE PARK

Dubbed “Fort Lauderdale’s Central Park”, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park provides visitors a slice of wilderness within the urban city. This park is a local favorite where you will often find visitors roller blading on the boardwalk or reading under the shade of palm trees. Full of activities such as paddleboarding, wildlife viewing, and bicycling, Hugh Taylor Birch Park is the ultimate Fort Lauderdale attraction for those who want to hang out and enjoy the Florida great outdoors. The park is open from 8 am to sunset, 365 days a year. The cost for admission is $6 per vehicle.
