South Florida is well known for its variety of fun things to do on the water. Come out and soak up the sun with some of our favorite outdoor aquatic activities.
PADDLEBOARDING
If you’ve never tried paddleboarding, you’ve got to head over to SUP PuP Paddleboard in Fort Lauderdale. Natasha and her pup Mr. Beaches provide lovely guided tours that are very beginner friendly. She’ll have you standing on the board and paddling away in no time
KAYAKING
Looking for a fun day on the water? Head over to the triangle sandbar. Easily accessible from SUP PuP Paddleboard (they also rent kayaks), the triangle sandbar is a favorite weekend hangout spot amongst locals in Fort Lauderdale. Imagine an area in the middle of the bay where the water gets shallow enough to stand. Boats all gather here on the weekend forming an outdoor block party of sorts on the water. Definitely great for the kids to run around and splash or for the adults to enjoy some R&R in the sun.
JETSKIING
Dubbed the motorcycle of the water, if you’ve never ridden on a jetski, I highly recommend setting aside an afternoon to try one out. Jetski FL is a great place to get your fix. Their high powered jetskis give you that exhilarating feeling as you get pushed back in your seat when pressing the gas. They also have highly experienced and personable guides looking to do a jetski tour.
SNORKELING
Tuff Gong Reggae Boat Tours is an excellent boat tour for anybody looking to snorkel and sight see. Tyler is a very knowledgeable captain and loves to provide a nice laid-back atmosphere with excellent music while touring the area. He knows the best places for snorkeling and will make sure you get to see plenty of fish.
